WAM Bombay, a subsidiary of WAMGROUP Italy is a joint venture incorporated in February 1998. WAMGROUP have over 30 years of global experience in the field of Powder and Granular Material Handling Equipments.

WAM Bombay initially started its operations as a trading unit in India but considering the outstanding growth of the company in the first 5 years and the huge demand for the product they have recently set up a manufacturing unit in New Mumbai with state of the art facilities. They also have branches in Ahemdabad, New Delhi, Bangalore, Lucknow & Chennai.

Solution
N-Tier Architecture with asp .net in C Sharp as coding platform and the database/backend is SQL 2000 to build this application

This Enterprise Application/System encompasses of 4 broad modules:

- Inventory Module
- Production Module
- Sales & Marketing Module
- HR (Human Resource) Module

The application includes 4 masters in it, which are

- Component Master
- Product Master
- Customer Master
- Supplier Master

This system is distinguished due to its Product and Component masters. Through these masters, the user can build and configure a product as per their requirements.

The user needs to add all the components in a product into the masters by properly mapping it with the specific groups.

So when the user is adding a new product to the system, he/she needs to map all the components to this new product. Depending on the group the user selects while adding a product, all the components in the group will be listed and accordingly the user has to check the component which is a part of the new product being added to the database.

Thus when the production people get an order for producing that product, automatically the BOM (Bill of Material) is generated based on this mapping of components.

Since WAM Bombay has standardized products, they build and configure the standardized product based on their customer’s requirements like Capacity per ton and material to be used which is used during preparation of the quote.
